I tell people that I am from Alabama, but I actually lived many places before settling down in Dothan (at age 10). One of my favorite places that we lived was in Burke, VA. This is a map of the community where we lived (click on map to enlarge). The red lines indicate the paved bicycle trails that ran throughout the area. At the time it seemed like there were millions of them. We went to an underground school called Terra Centre, some experimental solar energy project (the school was literally buried in the earth). My recent trip to Virginia reminded me of how great it was. We definitely need to make another trip there. Mike
