While attached to your jumpmaster, you will exit the plane from 10,000 feet. After a 60-70 second freefall, you and your instructor will be suspended in a dual harness below an oversized ram-air canopy. While under canopy, the instructor will assist you in guiding the canopy to a soft, on-target landing.

Tandem Skydiving is the most popular first jump as it requires a minimal amount of training (less than an hour) while maintaining a high degree of safety. You are attached to the front of your instructor's harness for the entire skydive and parachute ride. Your jump will include 70 seconds of freefall followed by a canopy ride that lasts anywhere from 7 to 9 minutes. You will be encouraged to steer the parachute and should you request you may also do flips, turns (steer yourself) in freefall! We highly recommend this method of enjoying your first skydive!

Green Thumb
I'll admit it: I have never had a green thumb. If you want a plant to wither up, bring it to my house. But, I've never been a quitter either. So I'll try and try again and again.
There is a planter in our back yard that was serving as a rock bed, so I decided this would be a good project for myself. I took out all of the rocks (and believe me, there were a lot of them), dug up a good deal of Georgia clay (a.k.a. concrete), and filled the planter with soil. I planted a few lily bulbs about six weeks ago, and they are starting to come in nicely. I planted a few annuals yesterday, but still have plenty of room for more. I'll post more photos as this project develops. Mike
