Alex Collins

Alex Collins was my roommate during my Freshman year in college, and that says a LOT. I found out yesterday that his dad is in the hospital right now. Please take two minutes to say a prayer for Fran Collins tonight before you go to bed. I don't think it is too much to ask. Thank you, ME

Just for Marc Tillis

Marc (and anyone else who feels neglected by my site lately, as this is their only source of guidance), this is one of my favorite quotes:

"People are always blaming circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them."

-George Bernard Shaw 1893

Best of luck in your new job, Marc. I know already that you will be successful in anything that you attempt. Your friend, Mike

Hard to believe!

My brother, Ben, sent me this link for a video that is jaw-dropping. Let me know what you think about this after you watch it. I was furious!

If clicking on the link doesn't work, type it in (I had some technical difficulties with it). It's worth the hassle. I promise. Mike

Hurricane Katrina

In Case You Are Bored

Aren't computers wonderful? At any time, day or night, you can find something to do. This is a perfect example. Shannon sent this to me the other day (and I spent about 15 minutes trying to perfect my shots). Have fun!!! ME

Finally!!!

Al Michaels called me yesterday morning to remind me about the big game on Monday Night (not that he really needed to). After hours of meetings and an incredible dinner at Roy's, I flew home to watch three hours of misery as the Redskins stunk up the field. The last 4 minutes of the game, on the other hand, were very enjoyable. Who would have thought that the Redskins would start the season 2-0? Not to worry... there are plenty more games to screw up later.
