The following Blog was written by Marc Tillis (an obvious Auburn graduate). I will post it exactly as he wrote it to me:

The World's Shortest Fairy Tale

(This was contributed by my dear brother Ben)

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?" The girl said,"NO!" And the guy lived happily ever after and went fishing, hunting, and played golf a lot, drank beer, and farted whenever he wanted.

If you haven't visited the King Kong website (see link) in a while, you might want to check it out. There is a new trailer on there... and it looks awesome!

Being Passionate About Your Dreams

We all want certain things in life. And I have learned that it is not at all difficult to be mentally prepared or physically prepared to tackle challenges in order to follow your dreams. The difficult part is being emotionally prepared. There are a lot of different words for this emotional energy - enthusiasm, desire, obsession, passion. To paraphrase Mark Twain: "Put all your eggs in one basket - and LOVE THAT BASKET!" That being said, here are some more Quotes of the Week:

"Losers visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success."
-Dr. Rob Gilbert

"I used to work at the International House of Pancakes. It was a dream, and I made it happen."
-Paula Poundstone

"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to success is more important than any other one thing."
-Abraham Lincoln

"Never give in. Never. Never. Never. Never."
-Sir Winston Churchill

"The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen."
-Frank Lloyd Wright

Charles Pilleteri

I heard it through the grapevine that Shannon's Aunt Teresa finally had the opportunity to meet Mr. Pilleteri (better known as Mr. P). Mr. P owns a small deli in Birmingham less than 2 miles from my old Outback. His sandwiches were a staple of my diet for 9 years. Just thinking about the Cajun Ham Sandwich that he serves makes my mouth water (be warned, it is very spicy). You can also get your Turducken (see August 21st archive) for Christmas from Mr. P's (unfortunately, these are not available for Thanksgiving, I've learned). If you are ever in the Birmingham area near Lakeshore Parkway, travel up Shades Crest and say hello to Mr. P for me. Mike

Skins Whoop the Eagles!

LANDOVER, Md. - For a change, the Washington Redskins' opponents were the controversial team, and the drama surrounding Terrell Owens didn't help the Philadelphia Eagles a bit.
A cast of less famous names led by Mike Sellers, Chris Cooley, Ryan Clark, Ladell Betts, Derrick Dockery, and - OK, this is a popular one - LaVar Arrington helped lead the Redskins to a 17-10 victory Sunday night over the Philadelphia Eagles, who have lost three of four and are in danger of slipping out of the playoff race.
