Gone For Too Long!!!

Sorry fans. Busy, busy, busy... But Shannon and I have a lot of events coming up, so check back often for updates! ME

Trip to Savannah, GA

River Street reminds me of OZ (much like this first photo depicts). Approaching Savannah, we witnessed a car going the wrong way on the interstate (seriously). We bravely drove through the section of town where the per capita income is less that $10,900.00 per year. We saw the panhandlers and homeless. We spent an hour looking for safe parking. We walked down steep stairways and through dark alleys. Finally we made it to River Street, a bustling thoroughfare, thick with more lucrative and experienced panhandlers. The colors were bright, the streets were clean, the air smelled of cotton candy and caramel apples. Smiling people walked along the gray cobblestone road (though I thought it should be yellow). There were Trolley Tours and Dinner Boats to go on, and the restaurants and bars were in abundance. Our visit to OZ was short, but we certainly tried to take it all in. I'd like to return some day. Maybe I can just click my heels.

Old D.C. Pics

I found some old pictures of our trip to DC last year. Needless to say, we did NOT win the "Best Costume" contest at the costume party.
