Theatre in the Square
Fully Committed
Directed by Alan Kilpatrick
An out-of-work actor (Bill Murphey, pictured) is the receptionist at a swank New York restaurant. We follow him through a “typical” evening, as he portrays 40 characters he has to deal with—including a Park Avenue socialite, Naomi Campbell’s personal assistant, the chef, a low-level mobster, a food critic and a tourist. A riotous one-man show!
Shannon and I took Shannon's parents to see this hilarious show on Sunday afternoon (for Shannon's mother's birthday). The Theatre in the Square is a very small theatre in downtown Marietta (it only seats 225 people). We had brunch earlier in the day at the Marietta Conference Center (pictured) with Shannon's oldest brother, David, his wife, Jill, and their two kids, Brian and Andrea. After the play, we checked out this amazing costume/magic/gag shop on the square (Eddie's Trick and Novelty Shop, pictured). In case you need anything for Halloween (fake vomit, gigantic spiders, wigs, gladiator costume, clown makeup, flash powder, etc.), now you know where to look. What a great time! Mike
